Trio Of Harley-Davidsons And Iconic ‘captain America’ Chopper To Star At H&h Classics AuctionFour American icons go under the hammer, including three Harley-Davidsons from the 1970s to 2000s and a hand-built Captain America chopper inspired by the iconic film Easy Rider.

• A 2004 Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod with £7,000 of chrome accessories, once featured in the brand’s official Motorclothes Catalogue, leads the line-up.
• The auction takes place on Wednesday 29 October 2025 at The National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, hosted by H&H Classics.

A selection of classic American motorcycles – including three distinctive Harley-Davidsons and a hand-built tribute to the legendary Captain America chopper from Easy Rider – is set to go under the hammer with H&H Classics at its next motorcycle and scooter auction on Wednesday 29th October.

Trio Of Harley-Davidsons And Iconic ‘captain America’ Chopper To Star At H&h Classics AuctionLeading the line-up is a striking 2004 Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod with £7,000 worth of genuine chrome accessories, estimated at £8,000 – £10,000. Registered to Harley-Davidson for the first two years of its life, it appears to have been fitted with virtually every genuine chrome accessory available.

Complete with Screamin’ Eagle exhaust pipes, it also featured in Harley’s official Motorclothes Catalogue and will be auctioned at The National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, West Midlands.

Mike Davis, Senior Motorcycle Specialist at H&H Classics, said: “Our auction is a special opportunity to bid for a wonderfully presented Harley-Davidson with a fascinating history. It is offered with a copy of the clothing catalogue, together with its original V5C showing Harley-Davidson as the first owner, and is sure to attract much interest when it goes under the hammer.”

Harley-Davidson enthusiasts also have the chance to acquire two other models from the world-famous US motorcycle manufacturer at the auction.Trio Of Harley-Davidsons And Iconic ‘captain America’ Chopper To Star At H&h Classics Auction

These include an outstandingly original 1978 Harley-Davidson FLH-1200, which has covered just three miles from new. Estimated at £5,000–£7,000, it has remained in single ownership since purchase, having first caught the vendor’s eye while on holiday in New York. Kept on static display ever since, the motorcycle has been started periodically, ensuring the engine still turns freely and the gears engage as they should.

A 1997 Harley-Davidson FLSTS Springer makes up the trio. Fitted with saddlebags and a screen, it was first registered to a Harley-Davidson dealer and sold to its only keeper in 1998. It carries a guide price of £6,000–£7,000.

Mike added: “It’s great to have three very different Harley-Davidsons from three different decades at our upcoming auction. Each has its own appeal and will provide a lot of pleasure to its new owner.”

A further head-turner going under the hammer is a 2004 Panzer-Paughco ‘Captain America’ Chopper estimated at £10,000-£12,000. Hand-built in tribute to the legendary Harley-Davidson ridden by Peter Fonda in Easy Rider, it features a 90 ci Neo-Pan engine built by Accurate Engineering and a Paughco frame, finished in the unmistakable stars and stripes livery that defined the film.

Mike concluded: “The Captain America chopper is one of the most iconic motorcycles ever put on screen. This faithful recreation captures that spirit perfectly – it’s a true celebration of Harley-Davidson’s cultural influence and the custom-chopper scene it inspired.”
