Reflecting in the glorious reception of the KB998 Rimini – which has not just impressed the media but also taken podiums in WorldSBK racing – the company has now created a sibling, the brand new 2026 bimota KB399 encapsulating a spirit best summarised as, “espresso di bimota”.

With its exciting 399cc 58.7 kW (80 PS) at peak power engine, precise race-inspired handling and stunning looks, the KB399 condenses the essence of bimota into a sharp, compact package, offering discerning enthusiasts a window into the world of bimota.

Using Kawasaki’s highly praised ZX-4RR as a base, this new machine follows a path that only the time served Rimini engineers and stylists could trace with numerous detail and stand out features that combine to create a diminutive Italian inspired masterpiece.

Naturally resplendent in the bimota signature black, red and white livery with a lustrous red frame, the KB399 will also be available in an ES (Edizione Speciale) version which takes the already impressive specification to the next level.

Upon close inspection, the KB399 gives up its secrets; a bimota designed bodywork package (complete with cowling winglets), billet upper & lower triple-clamps and steering stem top cap catch the eye. For the ES specification, the cowling is of dry carbon fibre construction with addition of clip-on handlebars, billet shift and brake pedals, plus billet (adjustable) footpeg assemblies and stays.

Adding performance precision to the bodywork bling, 41mm Showa SFF-BP front suspension is adopted matched to Showa BFRC lite rear suspension (Öhlins STX46 on the ES) while a high-revving four-cylinder soundtrack is delivered courtesy of a custom made Akrapovic silencer. Slowing things down is the responsibility of a pair of Brembo Stylema radial mount front calipers. In terms of electronic rider aids, the KB399 offers Traction Control (with 3 modes), Power Mode Selection, Integrated Riding Modes plus a Quick Shifter as standard.

With its compact, lightweight package, the new 2026 KB399 is an ideal model for yet more riders to experience bimota’s sensual appeal. From the sublime engine to the precise, nimble handling that gives riders the confidence to carve around corners on track days, all the settings for the KB399 were guided by bimota’s deep passion for racing. And in terms of looks it’s comforting to know that the KB399 has flowed from the pen of the same stylist that created the KB998 Rimini.

Pierluigi Marconi, bimota COO commented:
“Every bimota is made with passion and this very exciting new bimota expresses the very essence of our brand. Our goal with the KB399 is to offer an exclusive, distinctly bimota riding experience to existing fans as well as a new and enthusiastic audience who are now becoming more aware of our craftmanship focused motorcycles”.

The bimota KB399 will be priced at £10,099 with the ES variant priced at £14,699.

There will be order windows linked to each months production and will be limited. The first order window will close on Friday April 3rd with first arrivals due of this 2027 model in late October/early November 2026.
