Motorcycle enthusiasts will find plenty to get excited about at @HistoricsAuctions’ Summer Serenade auction at Windsorview Lakes on 18 July, with a diverse line-up celebrating British, Japanese and German engineering.
Leading the collection is a rare 2019 Norton Dominator Street, previously owned by Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond. Hand-built in the UK and produced in limited numbers, this low-mileage modern classic combines Norton’s renowned craftsmanship with premium specification, including Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes and carbon fibre bodywork, making it one of the standout motorcycle lots of the sale.
Representing vintage British motoring is a charming 1955 Phillips Panda Autocycle. Produced by one of Britain’s best-known cycle manufacturers, the Panda is admired for its distinctive styling and dependable engineering, with surviving examples becoming increasingly desirable among collectors of historic British motorcycles.
Fans of Japanese classics are well catered for with a 1976 Suzuki GT550 and a 1978 Kawasaki Z1000. The GT550, one of Suzuki’s celebrated Grand Touring models, benefits from a professional engine overhaul, including a fully rebuilt crankshaft, and is reported to run and ride well. Alongside it, the iconic Z1000—one of Kawasaki’s most influential superbikes—has benefitted from an older restoration, has been ridden recently and presents a fantastic opportunity to own a true superbike legend.
Completing the motorcycle line-up is a 1998 BMW K1200 RS, offered without reserve. Combining high-speed performance with long-distance touring comfort, this low-mileage, one-owner example has recently been recommissioned with extensive brake work and is presented in immaculate condition, ready to be enjoyed throughout the summer.
