Isle Of Man Tt Breaks 100+ Year Tradition With First-Ever Women-Led Legacy LapWomen Riders World Relay (WRWR) secures landmark moment for women in motorsport.

A defining moment for women in motorcycling is about to take to one of the world’s most iconic race courses.

Women Riders World Relay (WRWR) is proud to announce a historic breakthrough: For the first time in the Isle of Man TT’s 100+ year history, a women-led Legacy Lap will take place in 2026 – led by WRWR members and influential women in motorcycling.

The women-only Legacy Lap will run around the full Isle of Man TT course in May 2026, showcasing the power, presence and progression of women riders on the global stage.

WRWR’s Isle of Man Ambassador, Lisa Brain took the lead in securing the lap with TT officials – a move that signals a bold step forward for gender equality and visibility in motorsport.

“The TT course in itself is legendary – but to ride alongside legendary women, on a legendary course, broadcast and spectated by millions of people world wide… that is something really special and is sure to burn rubber marks in the history books.” — Hayley Bell , CEO & Founder, Women Riders World Relay

The Legacy Lap will sit alongside WRWR’s wider 2026 activities, including a year-long global relay powered by the WRWR App. The WRWR app connects women riders worldwide through passing a digital baton in person via ride outs.

WRWR’s country-ambassador network has now grown to 94 countries and counting, making their vision to “connect every woman rider and every country in the world” closer than ever.

What WRWR Is, And Why This Lap Matters
WRWR unites women motorcyclists across continents via a unique baton-pass relay, challenge-based community and global Ambassador network. Since its inception, WRWR has empowered tens of thousands of women to connect, challenge themselves and their stereotypes and change the worlds perception of women riders.

The Isle of Man TT women-led Legacy Lap extends that mission right onto one of the sport’s most sacred pieces of tarmac.

We’re honouring the past, claiming our place in the present and carving out a new and exciting future for the next generation of women riders.” — Lisa Brain, Isle of Man Ambassador – Women Riders World Relay

Call to Action & Sponsorship Invitation
WRWR is now inviting brands, manufacturers, teams and partners to stand visibly with women in motorcycling by supporting WRWR at the 2026 Isle of Man TT Women-Led Legacy Lap.
