BENDA is showcasing its radical P51 concept model at EICMA 2025 in Milan, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and future-facing technology to a global audience.
Breaking all conventions of the small-displacement segment, this radically-styled naked bike pairs a compact 250cc horizontally opposed twin engine with an advanced hybrid drive system to achieve power and torque figures previously unheard of in this capacity class.
First unveiled at the Chongqing International Motorcycle Expo in September, the P51, named in reference to the high-performance P-51 Mustang fighter plane, showcases BENDA’s technological ambition. The liquid-cooled, DOHC 250cc boxer-twin engine, when integrated with its electric motor, delivers a combined output of approximately 62 horsepower (46 kW) and a massive 100 Nm of torque. This performance allows the lightweight concept to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, setting a new benchmark far above any comparable bike.
Modular hybrid platform: Power and efficiency
The P51’s revolutionary performance is enabled by a modular hybrid system featuring an electric motor located underneath the combustion engine. This architecture allows the P51 to offer riders unprecedented performance through its hybrid power mode. This combines the full power of both motors for maximum acceleration and performance, delivering 62 hp.
Retro-punk meets modern aesthetics in a lightweight maneuverable package
With its distinctive, muscular silhouette, the concept naked bike is distinguished by its aggressive neo-retro aesthetic. Design elements include a striking front end featuring telescopic forks shrouded by girder-style covers, similar to the design seen on the Napoleonbob. The aircraft-inspired headlight design adds a touch of modern sophistication and technological appeal.
The dual seat machine has discrete fold-up pillion pegs that, when combined with the exquisite dual-sided swingarm mated to mono-shock rear suspension, produces a clean and modern design.
The high-rigidity, low-weight aluminium main chassis and steel tube vintage styling for the subframe help the P51 achieve a total wet kerb weight of a low 178 kg. Its low centre of gravity with the option of no gear shifting makes the bike extremely maneuverable and easy to handle. The rear-mounted battery further enhances traction through natural weight distribution. It delivers the authentic combustion engine sound combined with instant electric torque, creating a visceral ‘heartbeat’ riding sensation.
The future of BENDA
The P51 concept underscores BENDA’s commitment to technical diversification and high-performance new energy solutions.
Libo Liu, General Manager, BENDA Motor Europe: “The P51 is currently a concept, bringing BENDA’s bold vision for the future of motorcycling into form to a new global audience at EICMA. Along with the other concept engines we have recently shown, BENDA will continue to build upon its modular hybrid platform and multi-cylinder technology to expand our product portfolio from the cruiser segment and launch imaginative products that meet global demand for high performance, new energy and diverse motorcycle experiences.”
The newly revealed P51 concept model embodies BENDA’s hybrid modular vision and further details regarding its viability as a full production model will be announced in due course.
