New Fidlock pannier mounts from SW-Motech
Revolutionary V-LOC system offers magnetic mounting for motorcycle panniers.
Twenty years after transforming tank bag mounting with its patented tank ring system, SW-Motech has developed a spiritual successor for panniers. V-LOC is a revolutionary system that makes attaching and removing side luggage as simple as possible, whilst maintaining the robust connection required for heavy loads and high-speed stability.
At the heart of the system is a flat, V-shaped plastic carrier that mounts to the motorcycle via a forged steel bracket. Integrated Fidlock® magnetic technology guides the bag into position, where it locks with an audible click. The entire process takes one hand and a couple of seconds – attach and ride.
The magnetic guidance might sound familiar to anyone who’s used SW-Motech’s PRO Tank Ring System, but the V-LOC has been engineered specifically for the greater demands of side luggage. Stronger magnets work alongside a mechanical locking mechanism that spans a much larger surface area, delivering the stability and load capacity that panniers require.
Security is built into the design. When bags click into place, the locking mechanism engages automatically and prevents the lid from opening. An optional lock set allows riders to secure the bag to the carrier with a key, which simultaneously locks the lid – providing protection against both theft and accidental opening.
The slim-profile V-LOC carrier will be available for a wide variety of motorcycles including cruisers, naked sportbikes and adventure touring models from spring 2026.
Two luggage ranges will launch with V-LOC compatibility. The Legend Gear side bags blend classic styling with modern practicality, featuring soft Eco-Tech polyester construction, roll-top closures, and recessed back panels that allow them to sit close to the motorcycle. The WP (waterproof) side bags are built from robust TPU material with a faster roll-top closure design, offering premium weather protection. Both ranges include padded laptop compartments and MOLLE attachment panels for additional carrying options.
