SW-Motech’s latest generation PRO BLAZE panniers are now available for Kawasaki’s Ninja 500, offering riders of the sharp-handling sports bike the ideal balance between carrying capacity, stability and keeping their machine light and agile.
Combining the stability and security of hard luggage with the flexibility and low weight of soft panniers, the Pro Blaze system is perfect for bikes like the Ninja 500, where adding bulky racks or ‘scaffolding’ for hard cases isn’t an option.
The clever system uses discreet bike-specific brackets and removable support arms, which can be attached or removed in seconds. When the support arms aren’t needed, they click off cleanly, leaving the bike’s rear end completely uncluttered; ready for sporty road rides or track sessions.
SW-Motech have improved the already popular PRO BLAZE system for 2025 with a new, more intuitive locking mechanism. Attaching the brackets is quick and easy – even with gloves – and a new colour indicator clearly shows when they’re securely seated. The brackets themselves only need to be fitted once and sit discreetly on the bike: no bulky hardware left behind when the panniers are removed.
Specially designed for high-mounted exhausts, the PRO BLAZE H version is ideal for the Ninja 500. Each pannier offers between 15 and 20 litres of storage, with rigid, dimensionally stable side walls made from laminated EVA plastic for strength and shape. The outer material is made from tough, UV-resistant 1680D ballistic nylon, with a water-resistant interior coating to help protect contents.
Access is easy, thanks to a wide top-loading main compartment and a zipped outer pocket. The volume can be expanded in seconds, while a secure Velcro strap – with an anti-slip material where it sits on the passenger seat – helps keep the load stable at speed. There’s also a MOLLE attachment on the front, made from durable Hypalon material, allowing additional accessory bags to be added.
A solid carrying handle makes the panniers easy to transport off the bike, while reflective details improve visibility in traffic.
