Moto4 British Cup: The Road to MotoGP creates a ladder of opportunity – with two riders from the 2025 R&G Moto4 British Cup taking the next steps next season.

As already announced, 2025 R&G Moto4 British Cup champion Ethan Sparks is being promoted up the Road to MotoGP next season – taking a seat in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.

A further opportunity for the 2025 champion can now also be confirmed, as he’ll also race in the Momoven Moto4 European Cup in 2026 with MLav Racing. Not yet eligible to race in the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship, he’ll gain more experience in the Moto4 European Cup in the same MotoJunior paddock.

Sparks began making a name for himself in the FIM MotoMini World Series in the 160cc class and then in the 190cc class in recent seasons, including racing in the World Finals in Valencia, before winning the Moto4 British Cup in 2025. Now he’ll do a full season in the Moto4 European Cup alongside his promotion to the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup – a huge new challenge.

As well as Sparks, another 2025 Moto4 British Cup alumnus will join the MotoJunior paddock and take the next step on the Road to MotoGP – Filip Surowiak. The 2025 British runner up took the most wins but just lost out on the crown by 13 points. After his impressive season and being eligible to make the move to the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship already, he’ll be joining the Junior Talent Team in Moto3 Junior for 2026.
