Valentino Rossi’s Race-Worn Soleluna Kit is up for Auction – All Proceeds to UNICEF’s Road Safety program.
The Soleluna Vale46 Anniversario Kit No. 1/46, the only one worn by Valentino Rossi on the track at Mugello, is now up for auction for a great cause until November 29th at 23:29 UTC.
Dainese Group announces the donation of a unique, custom-made Valentino Rossi kit to UNICEF, which will be auctioned to support the organization’s “Road Safety for Children” program. This special gesture, announced during the Red Bull Grand Prix of San Marino and Riviera di Rimini, celebrates Valentino Rossi’s 46th birthday by turning a one-of-a-kind piece of motorcycling history into a concrete commitment to child safety.
The donated item is kit number 1/46 from the Soleluna Vale46 Anniversario limited series, a collection created by Dainese and AGV to celebrate the legendary rider’s 46th birthday. While only 46 numbered pieces of this exclusive collector’s outfit were made, this particular kit is the only one personally worn by Valentino Rossi on the track during a special training session at Mugello in May 2025. This makes it an even more precious piece for collectors, as it is also distinguished by a unique gold patch of Valentino’s unmistakable turtle on the shoulder, a detail not found on the other commemorative kits.
The kit consists of a Dainese Demone GP D-air® 3x kangaroo leather suit and an AGV Pista GP RR helmet, both professional-grade equipment from MotoGP™ riders, produced in Rossi’s custom sizes. The design echoes his iconic Soleluna theme, featuring a midnight black and carbon base with elegant gold designs and Rossi’s classic fluorescent yellow. The equipment is further embellished with exclusive gold detailing that replicates the look of gold leaf on the suit’s titanium sliders and the helmet’s shell. The suit and helmet are presented in a custom metal and plexiglass display case and have been personally signed by the champion himself.
“Dainese’s mission has always been to protect people,” said Angel Sanchez, Dainese Group CEO. “It is an honor to work with UNICEF and lend our support for children’s safety. This gesture confirms our unique bond with Valentino Rossi and our focus on the next generation.”
All proceeds from the auction will be donated to support UNICEF’s “Road Safety for Children” program, which aims to improve infrastructure and promote road safety awareness worldwide.
“On behalf of UNICEF Italy, I would like to thank Dainese and Valentino Rossi for their openness and sensitivity towards children,” added Nicola Graziano, President of UNICEF Italy. “Safe mobility is about more than transport – it’s a fundamental right of children to health, education, protection, and participation.”
The auction will turn this special piece of motorcycling history into a powerful force for good, directly supporting UNICEF’s work to ensure the well-being and safety of every child.
