Zero Motorcycles reimagines the spirit of Quadrophenia with concept LS1 Electric Mod Bike
Zero Motorcycles has rekindled the vision of Quadrophenia by producing the one-of-a-kind LS1 Electric Mod Bike.
Taking inspiration from the 1979 film starring Phil Daniels and Leslie Ash, Zero Motorcycles has developed a modified LS1 scooter, complete with the famous mirrors, horns, and Quadrophenia decal, to celebrate the spirit of the scooter.
The LS1 Electric Mod Bike was showcased in a ride-out and photoshoot around Brighton, taking in the iconic sites of the film, including the pier, city centre, and the unmistakable Quadrophenia alley.
Dale Robinson, UK Country Manager for Zero Motorcycles, said: “The launch of the LS1 scooter has brought about the beginnings of a new era for Zero Motorcycles. However, we felt it would be suitable to celebrate the culture icons who made the scooter famous, and you can’t get more iconic than Quadrophenia. We wanted to develop a bike that stops people in the streets, turns heads, and creates a throwback feeling, and that’s exactly what we’ve done with the LS1 Electric Mod Bike. We’ve brought the spirit of Quadrophenia into the 21st century”.
Engineered for dense urban environments, the LS1 platform delivers instant electric torque, lightweight manoeuvrability, and zero-emission riding – characteristics that align naturally with the fast-moving city lifestyle celebrated in Quadrophenia. The concept also introduces removable battery compatibility and customisable ride modes tailored for commuting, weekend coastal rides, and city exploration.
