After its preview at EICMA and more than a year of racing experience, AIROH turns the spotlight back on AIROH GP 800 FIM Racing #1 at the Misano race weekend.
AIROH’s top-of-the-range helmet returns to star alongside the official riders.
GP 800 FIM Racing #1, the full-face racing helmet of the AIROH range, is back in the spotlight at the Misano race weekend, accompanying – as it has been doing for over a year – the brand’s official riders: David Alonso, Moto2 rider and reigning Moto3 champion, title won using this helmet, Andrea Mantovani, current MotoE leader, Héctor Garzó, MotoE reigning champion, Maria Herrera and Alessio Finello.
Designed from the beginning in synergy with technicians working in the racing world and developed with the direct input from AIROH riders who tested and optimised it race after race, the GP 800 FIM Racing #1 is a helmet that was born from the track with the aim of meeting the needs of professional riders and transferring its performance to the most demanding motorcyclists.
Previewed at EICMA 2024, GP 800 FIM Racing #1 aims to be a must-have for racing enthusiasts, and Misano becomes the ideal setting to bring a product that has won the trust of riders back into the spotlight. The design is bold, aggressive, aerodynamically accurate in every detail. The shell in Carbon UD 12K, combined with the double homologation FIM Racing #1 and ECE 2206, provides the ultimate in safety and lightness.
Every element of the helmet is the result of performance-focused design: the rear spoiler increases stability and aerodynamics, the bevelled chin guard improves rider integration in the racing position, and the wide-view visor, both vertical and perimeter, also feature a safety lock that helps keep the view stable even at higher speeds. The advanced ventilation system and internal air recirculation ensure comfort even during the most intense moments of the race.
“GP 800 FIM Racing #1 is the result of what we mean with the claim ‘from the track to the road.’ In fact, the helmet was optimised by collecting input from our riders, working with them, sharing feedback and development – says Antonio Locatelli, AIROH founder and CEO – and there is no better occasion than Misano to remember the work behind the project and the real value of a helmet like this”.
From a technological point of view, GP 800 FIM Racing #1 represents AIROH excellence: the AMLS system (AIROH Magnetic Lining System), with magnetic attachment of the crown padding, simplifies daily use without sacrificing lightness. In addition, the ASN system (AIROH Sliding Net) improves ventilation and comfort, and the AEFR system (AIROH Emergency Fast Release) allows the cheek pads quick removal in case of emergency. The helmet is also prepared for the installation of AWC 2 and AWC 4 communication systems, a detail that expands its versatility off track.
Available in three shells, two colour variants and a wide range of sizes, GP 800 FIM Racing #1 can be purchased online and in the best specialised stores with a suggested price starting from 799.99 euros.
