Norton Motorcycles And Foster + Partners Collaborate To Redefine Motorcycle Retail

Norton Motorcycles announces a landmark collaboration with Foster + Partners to create a new global retail concept, redefining how premium motorcycles are presented, experienced and sold.
The partnership brings together two iconic British names in design and engineering excellence to deliver a new generation of Norton customer environments that are modern, clean and architectural – a departure from the traditional motorcycle retail experience.
Redefining Motorcycle Retail
The retail centres will balance British heritage with a distinctly forward-looking aesthetic – reflecting Norton’s resurgence strategy. Inspired by a gallery-like experience, each motorcycle is presented as a piece of sculptural engineering. The new retail design philosophy allows customers to fully appreciate the craftsmanship, engineering and heritage embedded within every Norton model.
Supporting features include dedicated areas for personalised motorcycle configuration, technical showcases and digital and interactive displays for deeper product engagement.
The concept is designed to work across a wide range of retail formats, from 50-sq-m of floor space and upwards, ensuring consistent brand execution from compact showrooms to flagship destinations.
Designed for Sales and Growth
The unique retail concept has been developed with retail success and growth at its core. A fully flexible implementation allows retailers to deploy any combination of the core features according to available space, layout and local requirements.
The complete CI package comes at a highly cost-efficient entry point, substantially lower than typical investment requirements, and with the anticipated seven-year lifespan of the concept, it offers a durability sufficiently longer than industry standards.
This initiative forms part of Norton’s broader international retail expansion strategy, with a roadmap to over 200 retailers globally, with the initial roll-out in key markets of the UK, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, India and the USA. The Foster + Partners-designed concept will be introduced initially in flagship locations across key global markets before being adapted across Norton’s wider retailer network.
Norton Motorcycles’ Chief Creative Advisor, Gerry McGovern, said: “Motorcycles at their best are emotional, sculptural objects of desire. In our experiential stores, they will be presented in environments that reflect their precision and modernity. Working in collaboration with Foster + Partners, we are placing in-store design and architecture at the heart of our resurgence, elevating our retail experience in a way that is clean, modern and compellingly desirable. The ambition is not merely to sell motorcycles, but to stage them – elevating their purchase from transaction to experience.”
Norman Foster, Founder and Executive Chairman, Foster + Partners, added: “Norton’s history is rooted in design, engineering and craftsmanship. Our design concept seeks to be a contemporary expression of the company’s heritage and timeless character of its motorcycles.”
As Norton continues its resurgence on the global stage, this collaboration signals its unwavering commitment to product excellence, customer experience and to creating a new benchmark for motorcycle retail.
