Acclaimed at its launch – and now a core part of the Kawasaki litre class offering – the Versys 1100 has been confirmed for the 2027 Kawasaki road bike model range.
For the Versys, 2027 will mark the 15 years since the introduction of the original Versys 1000 in 2012 and then the increase in capacity (and multiple upgrades) to create the Versys 1100 for the 2025 riding season.
Along with its 650cc mid-weight Versys sibling, the Versys 1100 represents Kawasaki’s unique “Versatile System” philosophy able to conquer any road and deliver outstanding comfort, convenience and performance. At the core of this incredible urge is an In-Line Four 1,099cc engine with maximum power rated at an impressive 135 PS. Formidable mid to high rpm torque makes the riding experience rewarding for an aurally and physically enjoyable ride.
It also offers ample comfort and carrying capacity allowing riders to ride long and far. A plush seat and good wind protection complement the relaxed riding position, making it easy to spend a long time in the saddle while passenger comfort is also superb. Long-travel suspension married to 17 inch wheels capably handle a wide range of road conditions.
The list of features and options is extensive covering clean mount panniers and a top case as part of a wide ranging genuine accessory programme while standard items include Smartphone connection using Kawasaki’s Rideology App, LED cornering lights, electronic cruise control plus up/down quick-shifter (an option on the standard model) and an adjustable windshield.
The use of Bosch’s compact IMU allows a high degree of electronic rider aids such as cornering management, power mode selection and traction control as well as integrated braking.
Created as two models for 2027, S and SE, any Versys 1100 can additionally be supplied in “Edition” specification at purchase using Kawasaki accessories to create one of a variety of edition types that covers Tourer, Tourer Plus and Grand Tourer categories.
As the any roads and adventure market in Europe continues to flourish, Kawasaki will remain at the forefront in 2027 with both the Versys 650 and the stunning Versys 1100 in all its many guises.
The 2027 Versys will be available from October, with prices starting from £13,849. Colours are:
