Sports touring fans will be delighted that the impressive Ninja 1100SX and Ninja 1100SX SE plus Editions are set to feature in the Kawasaki road bike range for the 2027 season.
Pillars of the Kawasaki litre class offering, both machines feature sports handling, supersport-style chassis components and dynamic Ninja styling with superbly balanced packages contributing to sports and touring riding excitement.
The Ninja 1100SX offers versatility for daily riding allied to superb wind protection, Electronic Cruise Control and an optional integrated accessory pannier systems plus accessory top case add to comfortable weekend escapes.
A range of supersport-style components contribute to sport riding potential. An aluminium frame, inverted front fork and Ninja ZX-10R style Horizontal Back-link rear suspension are complemented by a supersport-style brake package. For the SE model this means the adoption of Brembo front brake discs stopped by Brembo M4.32 calipers complemented by a Brembo master cylinder and steel-braided brake lines. The SE also has an Öhlins S46 rear shock plus a remote pre-load adjuster. It also arrives with heated handlebar grips.
The Ninja 1100SX’s engine displaces 1,099cc and delivers a peak of 100Kw {136 PS} at 9,000 rpm matched to a peak torque of 11.5 kgƒ·m.
The liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-Line Four engine is designed to pull strongly in the low-to-mid rpm range while the high rpm performance is characteristically robust delivering impressive engine power and feel. Mated to this is a standard equipment up/down quick-shifter aiding both sporting and touring riding requirements.
This cutting edge package features a host of IMU assisted electronic rider aids including a cornering management function, three mode traction control and an integrated braking function as well as two power mode options and four options of integrated rider modes.
Additionally, riders can connect wirelessly to their Ninja 1100SX via their Smartphone using the Kawasaki Rideology App offering the convenience of a Voice Command function. Other Rideology functions include – Vehicle Information, a Riding Log, Telephone notices, Tuning for General Settings and Riding Management plus Navigation.
Finally – in addition to the Ninja 1100SX and Ninja 1100SX SE machines, there are up to three Edition models available from dealers creating Tourer, Performance and Performance Tourer variants using genuine Kawasaki accessories.
In the litre class segment for sports tourers, Kawasaki will continue to offer the definitive machines and Editions for 2027 thanks to the Ninja 1100SX and Ninja 1100SX SE.
