Following updates to Yamaha’s CP2 power-plant first seen in the 2025 MT-07, the revised parallel twin-cylinder engine now also finds its way into the recently launched 2026 YZF-R7.
Globally as popular on the streets as it is on the racetrack across a number of one-make series, as well as the World Sportbike and World Women’s Circuit Racing Championships, the latest R7 looks set to continue its success as an affordable middleweight.
Made to the same specification as those used by WorldSBK, Moto2 and BSB teams, clutch, alternator, water pump and water pipe protection are available separately as well as a cost-effective two-piece engine cover set.
These products are available direct from GBRacing or from authorised dealers now.
