Created with rider safety in mind, the CHIGEE SR-1 Millimeter-Wave Radar System is a proactive safety tool engineered to emulate the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) commonly found in the automotive industry. Rather than relying solely on mirrors, this discrete system increases situational awareness and significantly improves rider safety.
Advanced Functionality
The SR-1 integrates a variety of safety features that activate once travelling at speeds in excess of 10 km/h. Radars within the compact unit monitor the areas surrounding the bike, providing the following functionality:
Blind Spot Detection (BSD): Monitors the “no-zone” areas on either side of the bike to ensure you never miss a vehicle hidden in your periphery.
Lane Change Assistance (LCA): A predictive tool that calculates the speed of approaching vehicles and notifies the rider if a lane change is unsafe.
Active Overtaking Alert (AOA): If you overtake a vehicle and it lingers in your rear-quarter blind spot, the system alerts you to prevent you from cutting back into your original lane prematurely.
Rear Collision Warning (RCW): The system constantly calculates the Time to Collision (TTC). If a rear-end impact is imminent (default 1-second threshold), it triggers a high-priority emergency alert.
Active Rear Warning Light: Unlike standard radars, the SR-1 includes an integrated, high-brightness outward-facing light. When the radar detects a high-speed approach from behind, it flashes rapidly to warn the other driver to slow down.
Robust Engineering
Utilising 77GHz automotive-grade high-frequency technology, the SR-1 is a significant upgrade from industry-standard 24GHz radars, allowing for millimetre-level accuracy in distance and speed detection. Built to meet IP68/IP69 ratings, the unit remains 100% functional in all conditions, whether off-road, in heavy rain, dust, fog or total darkness. Furthermore, the enhanced frequency reduces interference from road furniture and other electronic signals.

Integration and Pricing
The SR-1 is available as a standalone package which includes indicators for handlebar fitment. For a more “factory” look, the Radar Rearview Mirrors offer warning LEDs integrated directly into anti-glare mirror glass, which will be available soon.
The unit can also be paired with the CHIGEE AIO-5 or AIO-6, bringing real-time radar data onto the screen for maximum awareness. The system is fully customisable to suit individual riding styles and features Over-the-Air (OTA) updates to ensure the software remains current.
